The Dekum Building, Portland, Oregon — our home since 2002.
SpamRescue comes from CompanionLink Software, a company founded in 1987 — before the internet as we know it existed. We launched our first website in 1996, nearly at the dawn of the commercial web, and have had published sales and support email addresses ever since. Thirty years of a public inbox. That's a long time to be a target.
Over those three decades we've watched spam evolve into an arms race. Spam checkers get smarter, and spam evolves to evade them. It never stops. Along the way, we started noticing something uncomfortable: a handful of real customer emails were getting caught alongside hundreds of junk messages. Missing a customer is not acceptable.
The obvious solution — checking multiple email accounts in Thunderbird or Outlook — turns out to be awkward. Those apps download everything: inbox, sent, trash. Logging into several web-based accounts one by one is tedious enough that it leads to skipped days and missed messages. We needed something better.
So SpamRescue was born. It's a focused tool that lets you quickly review your spam folders across accounts, rescue the messages that matter, and keep spam safely separated. We also built in role-based access so you can assign a staff member to monitor spam folders without giving them access to your inbox. Real security, not just a checkbox.
We're a small team in Portland, Oregon, working out of a downtown historic building called the Dekum Building. We work US Pacific Time, and when you contact us, you'll reach a real person. We hope SpamRescue saves you time and keeps your customers happy. Thanks for reading.
